Confidentiality A fundamental principle of counselling is that it should be confidential. There are some exceptional situations when confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, and these are explained at your first session. Otherwise counselling takes place under strict conditions of confidentiality, and nothing you discuss will be disclosed to anyone without your permission.
Length of the session. The length of each session will be 50 minutes. However for students needing to complete a certain amount of therapy hours as course requirements, then we are happy to make alternate arrangements.
How much does it cost? We operate a sliding scale for fees; please feel free to contact us for further information at Rainbow. At Rainbow Counselling Service we are committed to all those that seek counselling. Therefore we provide a number of concessionary places for people on low incomes.
What happens if I can’t make a session? Or if I'm running late? If you need to cancel an appointment, then by giving 24 hours notice you will not have to pay for the session. If you are late, the counsellor will wait for you, and your appointment will still end at the agreed finishing time.
